Columbus vs Boston live NHL

It would be nice to think that the Columbus Blue Jackets haven't already quit on the season, but they sure aren't doing anything to convince anyone of that. The Jackets are now a league worst 3-13-1 on the season and Tuesday they blew a 2-0 lead at home against the Minnesota Wild and lost 4-2 despite outshooting the Wild 45-23. At some point you have to figure a shake up is coming and now they've got to go face the Boston Bruins when the defending Stanley Cup Champions appear to be getting things rolling. Antoine Vermette scored his first goal of the year and Mark Letestu added his second of the year on the power play in the loss. Steve Mason made 20 saves for Columbus.
The Boston Bruins got a late goal from Benoit Pouliot to give them a 4-3 win over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night. The Bruins had 37 shots on goal on the night and also got goals from Chris Kelly, Brad Marchand, and Shawn Thornton. Gregory Campbell added two assists. The victory gave the Bruins six straight wins on the season and has erased any questions about the team's slow start to the season. The Bruins have eight different players with double digit points and much like last year are doing it by committee. With Tim Thomas' steady pay continuing in goal the Bruins look to have everything needed to repeat as champions this year.
The Under is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams, but with how bad Steve Mason has been this season I wouldn't be too sure about that happening again. To their credit, the Blue Jackets came out hard and played the game the right way against the Wild, but it still wasn't enough. If Columbus could get any goaltending at all they might have a chance to start getting things together, but until that is sured up it's hard to give them a chance against any of the better teams in the league.
